What is Internal Family Systems Therapy?

Internal Family Systems, or IFS, is a type of therapy that helps people understand the different “parts” inside them.

Sometimes one part of us feels scared, angry, sad, or protective. These parts are not bad. They are trying to help us, even when their way of helping may not feel good.

IFS helps people listen to these parts with kindness. It also helps people connect with their calm, caring inner Self. This Self can help bring healing, understanding, and balance.

Through IFS, clients can build more confidence, calm, compassion, courage, creativity, clarity, curiosity, and connection in their lives and relationships.

Rooted in IFS training, Dr. Ansbro welcomes all people of any age, race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, class, ability, language or cultural background into the Internal Family Systems community.

You are welcome here, and all of your parts are welcome too.
